Withlacoochee River Park

Withlacoochee River Park is a wilderness park within the Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Department. The departments mission is to improve the quality of life for Pasco County citizens by providing excellent parks and recreation facilities and program opportunities for everyone to enjoy. The park is situated on over 450 acres of natural Florida wilderness. Visitors can experience the pleasures of bird watching, hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing/kayaking and relaxing with nature. The park is open seven days a week from 7:00 am until dusk; there is a $2 parking fee.

We currently have a super nature summer camp for one week at the park. The summer camp is for children ages 8-12 years old. Activities for the camp consist of outdoor sports and games, wood and water exploration, fishing clinics, arts and crafts, hayrides and field trips. We also have an annual fishing festival where we have kids learn to fish stations, wildlife exhibits, and outdoor activities and games.
