Cox Science Center and Aquarium

Serving Palm Beach County since 1961, the Science Center revolves around a simple premise: science is exciting! Our mission is to “Open Every Mind to Science” and we are delivering on this promise by providing schools, visitors and campers hands-on science programming. Featuring a variety of interactive exhibits, our guests engage in science education through play. The Aquariums of the Atlantic features 10,000 gallons of fresh and saltwater tanks that are home to some of Florida’s most beautiful aquatic residents. The Florida Conservation Station and the Hidden World of the Everglades exhibits give visitors a glimpse into the life of a biologist and gives them an idea of the immense variety of life in Florida. We also have unique outdoor activities like our
Conservation Course – an 18-hole miniature golf course dedicated to Everglades flora and fauna. Our Fisher Family Science Trail is a 1/4 mile path through 15 exhibits including the Physics Forest, FPL SolarScape, a splash pad, a gem panning station, and more! The Science Center is pleased to partner with the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network to present wildlife discovery via education kits at our hands-on STEAM Studio programming cart!
