Outdoor Education Program

Deane Bozeman School serves approximately 1,300 students in grades pre-k through 12. The Outdoor Education Program is a Senior level course choses as an elective. The purpose of Outdoor Education at Deane Bozeman School is to introduce the students to various activities and opportunities related to Hunter Safety, Survival, Boater Safety, Archery, Sustainability, and Environmental Resources.

Deane Bozeman School has an Agriculture Biotechnology Program that features Agriscience Foundations as the beginning course. Beginning in the 9th grade, students learn about and work with various animals such as rabbits, chickens, goats, cows and sheep. This class has a wildlife and forestry (tool ID, tree ID, disease ID, timber cruising) component in addition to the working with plants (cloning, ornamental garden, vegetable garden) and animals. The school has both a middle and high school FFA organization with teams competing at sub-district, district and state levels. Students also participate in the Envirothon competition every year.
