Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Founded in 1983, the Loggerhead MarineLife Center is a leading cultural attraction in South Florida and today remains free to the public. The center has grown to become a global leader in the rehabilitation, research and protection of sea turtles, serving our broader mission to promote ocean ecosystem conservation and train future generations to do the same. Annually we reach 900,000 guests with our transformational STEM education programs and partner with nearly 200 organizations across six continents and 16 countries in ocean conservation. In early 2022, we will open our new 27,500 square-foot campus expanding our exhibition, education, convening space, and medical facilities increasing our regional economic impact.

Our campus offers a variety of daily public programs for all ages, as well as school programs such as field trips, outreaches, homeschool and virtual programs. Exciting seasonal experiences offered include our Junior Marine Biologist Summer Camp, Eco-Adventure Series, and our always popular Turtle Walk, Hatchling Release, and Sunrise Nest Excavation Programs.
