Ravine Gardens State Park

Ravine Gardens State Park is one of the nine New Deal-era state parks in Florida. Aptly named for the two ravines up to 120 feet deep with banks at 45 degree angles, the ravines were transformed into a dramatic garden by the federal Works Progress Administration in 1933. Visitors can enjoy the views of the remaining original landscape along a unique system of trails in addition to other amenities including picnic sites, and the Civic Center complex with a large pavilion, auditorium, and meeting rooms available to rent. The park offers several family-friendly programs including guided hikes and youth Eco Camps in the summer.
