Camp Timpoochee

UF/IFAS 4-H Camp Timpoochee is nestled on the shore of the Choctawhatchee Bay in Okaloosa County. It’s private facilities, open spaces, waterfront view, and beautiful sunsets allow campers, students, and guests to play, learn, and work in a safe and relaxing environment. Our mission statement is to develop life skills in youth through experiential education in the camp environment. 4-H Camp Timpoochee provides day and overnight summer camp programs, rents facilities, and teaches environmental education and marine science classes on and off-site. Overnight trips, day classes, and outreach educational programs are all available to book throughout the school year, while day and overnight camp opportunities are available to all youth ages 6-17 in June and July each summer.

4-H Camp Timpoochee’s programs focus on their backyard – the BAY! Camp Timpoochee is fortunate to be located on the Choctawhatchee Bay and their programs, classes, and activities center around the marine ecosystem. All programs align with state and national science and education standards, allowing youth to learn in an informal and experiential environment. Students can learn about various environmental and outdoor based topics, including marine ecology, marine biology, kayaking, and seining.
