Camp Deep Pond became a life-changing reality for hundreds of children last July, when we first opened our gates and campers glimpsed the glimmering water, wooded fields, blue skies and smiling staff of our new camp. Camp Deep Pond helps fulfill the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, by bringing thousands of children and teens to Camp every year. Young people enjoy life-changing experiences in a pristine, outdoor setting, with a loving, supportive staff that enables them to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Most of our campers are inner-city youth, many from single-parent households, that have never experienced camping, fishing, swimming in a lake, or other outdoor adventures and team-building activities. In many ways, Camp Deep Pond enables young people to open their eyes to a broader, colorful world that they have only imagined in their dreams. Through partnership with The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, The Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network, and The American Camp Association, excellent outdoor education and recreation programs are offered. Camp activities include archery, kayaking, swimming, sports, fishing and our STEM rocket and bicycle programs. Every day, our campers are encouraged to grow as a team, create new relationships and develop personal character. At Camp Deep Pond, we help campers have life-changing experiences that fill them with the hope and joy they need in order to be successful. Camp development in 2019 will include a high ropes adventure course, additional recreational activities and a new, multi-purpose building lovingly named “Big Mama’s Kitchen.” Dream with us, then walk amongst our pines. We believe you too will feel the love, hope and joy that our campers find at Camp Deep Pond. Please feel free to inquire about Camp Deep Pond. Camp visits are always welcome.
