Meet the Everglades Team

We’re hiring! Everglades Youth Conservation Center Director: Lead outdoor education programs and oversee youth conservation initiatives at Everglades Youth Conservation Center. Apply for the position.

Caylee Sarff: Assistant Director

Caylee was born and raised in Miami, FL and graduated from Florida State University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and policy. After graduation, Caylee worked as a Presentation Specialist and Summer Camp Instructor for the Frost Museum in Miami, a Park Ranger in the Florida Keys, and an Eco Tour guide in the Everglades National Park before joining EYCC in 2022. Caylee supports the camp director with all aspects of camp operations, from helping design and lead programming to coordinating and overseeing day-to-day activities.  

Lyndsey Plancarte: Education Specialist

Lyndsey is a born-and-raised Loxahatchee resident who started working at EYCC in 2019 as an education specialist. Over the past several years, she has spent her summers working at EYCC as a camp instructor while on summer break from the University of South Florida where she is studying Marine Biology. Lyndsey assists all camp activities and directly oversees the camps shooting sports programs which covers archery, rifle shooting, and shotgun shooting.  

Erin Haberman: Education Specialist

Erin is the new Education Specialist on the EYCC team. She is from Avon, Indiana and just recently graduated from Purdue University with her bachelor's degree in aquatic sciences with a double concentration in Marine & Freshwater Biology and Fisheries Management. Erin has many years of summer camp experience under her belt, as she’s led activities in fishing, canoeing, archery, survival skills, and tree climbing. She worked for many years at her college culinary program in the hiring department, where she recruited, interviewed, and onboarded new hires. She also has a passion for scuba diving, she has her Advanced Open Water Diver certification and her Rescue Diver certification. Erin supports all camp activities and is excited to call Florida her new home.

Dawn Herron: Administrative Assistant

Dawn has lived in the Loxahatchee area for over 30 years. She loves living and working in South Florida and enjoys visiting all parts of the state. Dawn first began working at EYCC in the summer of 2019. In addition to overseeing general administrative office tasks, Dawn handles all camp inquiries, guiding parents through registration, schedules, and program details.  

Lisa Contino: Food Service Manager

Lisa has been a proud resident of Loxahatchee for over 25 years and has dedicated over 20 years to serving the community as a Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office School Crossing Guard. Lisa began her journey at EYCC in 2019 as a summer camp kitchen assistant and became the Food Service Manager in 2024. She is responsible for coordinating and preparing food service for both rental groups and summer camp participants. Lisa manages all food ordering and inventory, and ensures the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.   

Dennis Yacino: Facilities Manager

Dennis was born and raised in Massachusetts and spent most of his adult life in the New England Area. With a diverse background in automotive, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, accounting, and management, Dennis considers himself a Jack-of-All-Trades. Dennis moved to Florida in 2017 and began working at EYCC in 2023. As the Facilities Manager, Dennis oversees all maintenance related operations at EYCC.
