Frequently Asked Questions
- Chinsegut Conservation Center is open to the public, Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (ET).
- Public access to the surrounding Chinsegut WEA hiking trails is allowed from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset 7 days a week.
We have two individually accessible restrooms, along with a bottle refilling station at the Conservation Center building. Several picnic tables are located near the center and there is a large, covered pavilion with more picnic tables and benches located near the center. We also have a short, paved trail around our native plant gardens and a partially covered back patio for wildlife viewing.

Our staff are subject to a thorough background screening. We require staff to pass a Level 2 background screening through the Department of Children and Family Services.
