The proposed area for the next Youth Conservation Center is at the FWC's Tenoroc Fish Management Area in Polk County. The Tenoroc site, located within the city limits of Lakeland, is also easily accessible from the Orlando and Tampa metropolitan areas. The Tenoroc Fish Management Area currently has nature trails and horseback riding trails, fishing ponds, archery, shotgun and rifle ranges, and a wide-array of birding and conservation habitat programming.
The Ocala Conservation Center is on a 57-acre peninsula, rich in history and wildlife in Marion County in north Central Florida. It is 20 miles east of Ocala, on Lake Eaton, in the heart of the Ocala National Forest. The facilities are rustic, yet comfortable, with air-conditioned cabins and dining hall. Outdoor classrooms are fishing piers, shooting ranges, nature trails, Lake Eaton and the vast Ocala National Forest.
The Easton Newberry Archery Center is one of a growing number of Easton Foundations archery facilities across the USA. These centers foster new growth, and provide coordinated trainings for archers and coaches. Indoor and Outdoor archery events as well as tournaments are scheduled at the Archery Center year-round. Catering to all age groups and abilities, these events showcase the wide variety of archery styles and games. While offering some of the best quail habitat and upland bird hunting in North Central Florida, they are not a commercial quail hunting preserve with multiple parties hunting the same properties. In fact, it is a small family run operation. Therefore, guests will have unlimited access to their own private area and one on one attention from the experienced guides.
