SNAP Camp (Science Nature Adventure Program)

Camp SNAP is a summer science nature adventure program that offers Manatee County Title 1 students countless opportunities to explore the wonders of nature as well as learning about personal stewardship of the earth. Invited fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth grade students participate in the weeklong camps, which run June 5th through June 22nd. Students travel daily to field trips sites such as Myakka River State Park, Coquina Beach/Leffis Key, Robinson Preserve and the Florida Aquarium.

Miami-Dade Parks operates an adapted archery program for individuals who have physical or visual disabilities. Adapted equipment and instruction is provided. The program is open to children and adults with physical or visual disabilities. This program is part of the overall adapted sports program operated by Miami-Dade Parks Disability Services Paralympic Sport Club Program.

Lighthouse for the Blind & Low Vision

The mission of the Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind is to "maximize independence and provide employment opportunities for persons who are blind or visually impaired". The Transition Program specifically works with youth ages 14-21 who are blind or visually impaired. The program was designed to prepare students for post-secondary options, such as college, technical school, or work.

Constitution Park

Located in Deer Creek, offers over eight acres of beautifully landscaped rails and amenities. Constitution Park is home to our Arboretum (Tree Zoo) with over 325 exotic trees displayed along a one-half mile path, the "Zeke" Landis Nursery, and rain forest.

This 15 acre park offers a full-service recreation center, full-size gym, picnic areas and a playground. The location also includes a multi-purpose building that houses a press box, concession stand and restrooms, a football/soccer field, lighted outdoors basketball courts, and 2 baseball fields & a multi-purpose field.

Nathan Benderson Park

Located in Sarasota, FL, Nathan Benderson Park (NBP) is a unique 600-acre community park that includes North America's premier 2,000-meter sprint rowing course and a regatta center. One of a handful of sites in the United Stated identified as having all of the natural attributes that make up a world-class rowing and recreational facility, Nathan Benderson Park began hosting organized regatta competitions in 2009.

Crane Point Museum & Nature Center

Crane Point / Florida Keys Land and Sea Trust, Inc. The Trust is a 501(c)3 Non Profit whose Mission is to Promote Environmental Stewardship and the Heritage of the Florida Keys. Crane Point is a 64 Acre ecological and cultural Treasure in the heart of the Florida Keys with many nature trails that leads You to the Gulf of Mexico. The trails offer a view of the Keys in the Days of the Indian and Bahamian Settlers and preserves one of the last thatch palm hammocks containing rare and endangered species.

Through our adult and youth archery programs, including archery lessons, indoor fun shoots, archery themed birthday parties, archery themed team building exercises, and indoor league shoots we believe Jacksonville has the potential for serious growth in the near future.
