Camp Weed has served as the Diocese of Florida’s resident camp for more than 92 years. In that time, we’ve moved from St. Augustine Beach to Panama City, finally settling in 1978 in Live Oak, Florida. During that time, we’ve served thousands of campers, and we love seeing generations of families - grandparents, parents, and children - come through our gates. Camp Weed offers a unique summer experience that allows campers to experience God’s great outdoors, and through them, experience God.

In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life. The BSA’s goal is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations.
