Hana Brinkley

Center Coordinator

Hana is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University. Her career in conservation started with several field jobs, including a land management internship at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, where she saw her first Florida panther. She started with the FWC as a volunteer helping with Red-cockaded Woodpecker studies at Babcock Webb WMA. For the past 12 years at the FWC, Hana has worked with wildlife, land management, and education. In 2020, she started a family and, in early 2021, began serving as the Center Coordinator for the Chinsegut Conservation Center. At Chinsegut, she does what she loves most, combining her love of wild Florida with her desire to share that passion with others. Hana is a certified interpretive guide and USA Archery instructor/trainer.

Colleen Muylaert

Education Specialist

For the past four years, Colleen has been an Education Specialist at the Chinsegut Conservation Center. She and her family moved here from Michigan in 2018 and built their own house. Her history in education includes working in the local school district, assisting with summer camps for various groups, and homeschooling her children. As a certified interpretive guide, Project WILD instructor and trainer, and certified archery instructor, Colleen brings a wide range of instructional skills to every program. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, reading, and going to the beach.

Stephanie Stoeffler

Education Specialist

Stephanie has been an education specialist at Chinsegut Conservation Center for the past two years. Stephanie graduated from The University of Tampa with a degree in marine science and spent eight years at The Florida Aquarium. While at the aquarium, she was responsible for animal husbandry and a slew of education programs, including camps, sleepovers, homeschool curriculum, teen volunteers, and a variety of field-based and on-site classes. She enjoyed giving interpretive eco-tours of the bay and interacting with visitors while presenting on various topics. In 2014 and 2015, she was selected to join Dr. Robert Ballard and the Corps of Exploration as a Science Communication Fellow on board the EV Nautilus to conduct ocean exploration. She was able to broadcast live to audiences via the ship’s studio from both the Gulf of Mexico and off the coast of California, up through British Columbia. In 2015, she moved to Georgia and spent her time hiking and teaching outdoor environmental programs at the Gwinnett County Environmental and Heritage Center. She then transitioned into a unique classroom as a full-time zookeeper and science enrichment teacher from grades 1-12.  She enjoys baking, kayaking, scalloping, and playing with her dog. Stephanie is a certified interpretive guide and USA Archery instructor.

Ken Morgan

Groundskeeper

Ken has been employed by FWC at Chinsegut for about a year and a half. Before that, he worked as an arborist throughout his civilian career, first for his father, then running his own successful arborist business for the last several decades. Ken has a long history of volunteering in the community. He was involved in 4-H for many years, he’s a longtime volunteer at the local humane society, he’s a certified master gardener through UF/IFAS, and he was a longtime volunteer at Chinsegut Conservation Center before accepting the groundskeeper position. Ken is a natural guide and interpreter. Utilizing his knowledge of trees and history, he has guided a number of nature walks at Chinsegut WEA and Chassahowitzka WMA.
