Explore Bowhunting in Florida
Explore Bowhunting gives students the knowledge and skills to become active participants in the outdoors and conservation through archery and bowhunting. The program was designed to help educators provide empowerment opportunities for young people so they can take an active role in conserving and managing resources as stewards of Floridaโs natural environment.
Throughout the program students will develop and put into practice valuable life skills that extend beyond the classroom into the โreal worldโ โ wildlife management, ethical hunting methods, conservation models and basic archery skills. The curriculum promotes physical fitness, confidence, and social well-being thanks to hands-on experiences and outdoor interaction.
In an increasingly connected and mobile world, the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network strives to ensure that the conservation and hunting heritage of Florida will be passed on to future generations. Explore Bowhunting is a great tool to provide the necessary information for youth to make informed decisions. People of all ages conserve what they value and value what they understand.
Through the program students will gain the confidence to ethically engage the natural world, be it as hunters, recreational shooters, wildlife viewers or as voters who are outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts.
