The Archery Trade Association is the organization for manufacturers, retailers, distributors, sales representatives and others working in the archery and bowhunting industry. The ATA has served its members since 1953. It is dedicated to making the industry profitable by decreasing business overhead, reducing taxes and government regulation, and increasing participation in archery and bowhunting. The organization also owns and operates the ATA Trade Show, the archery and bowhunting industry’s largest and longest-running trade show worldwide.

Explore Bowhunting

Explore Bowhunting is an educational program designed to help instructors, program leaders and educators teach students ages 11-17 the basic skills of bowhunting. The Archery Trade Association has created this program to spark an interest and passion for bowhunting in today’s youth. Through these hands-on experiences students gain confidence interacting with the natural environment and strengthen their appreciation for wildlife and the woods.

Archery 360

At Archery 360, we take the idea of becoming an archer and make it real, dishing out fresh content covering how to shoot and where to get started. We cover archery-related news, focusing on event culture, sport lifestyle and entertainment.

Most experts agree that bows and arrows were first used in the Paleolithic Age. Fast-forward to today and mankind is still shooting: at international competitions, in backyards across the world and ranges in family-owned archery shops dotting the landscape. And while archery currently dominates pop culture in films and television, it also prevails among a counter-culture of bowhunters who choose the wilderness and the freedom to source their own food.

So who are you: an athlete, an archery superfan, an outdoor adventurist or a backyard bowman? Either way, get ready to enjoy the best of what archery’s all about: precision, focus, mental discipline and a steady hand.

Through collaboration with archery-centric organizations and businesses, Archery 360 is the Archery Trade Association’s effort to give those new to the sport a central location to find the resources and tools to get started.

Archery Academy

Archery academies first began in 2009. Participants walk away with a full knowledge of available programs including USA Archery’s Junior Olympic Archery Development, 3-D archery and local resources to get — and keep — youth involved. The focus of these events is to create self-sustaining archery programs.

Archery Park Guide

The Archery Park Guide was developed in 2012 for parks and recreation agencies anxious to build archery parks in their communities. For use by ATA members, this guide can be offered to community and/or state officials as a tool to infuse archery and bowhunting opportunities in your own state or locale. The Archery Park Guide offers 40-plus pages of information including site plans and recommendations, tips from city and state officials who have already built parks and case studies from a variety of different locations. Information on risk management and a breakdown of each park’s amenities and costs (where available) are also features of this park guide.
