The public is invited to the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 8:00am to 11:00am for a free, 3 hour guided tour of the Trail, the Craig Tufts Pollinator Garden and the Monarch Butterfly Way Station.
Cameras and binoculars are strongly suggested since the scrub-jays are extremely active, the butterflies are abundant, and the gopher tortoises are frequently spotted.

The Department of Environmental Protection’s Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park invites children ages 5-12 to join a Park Ranger for a bird walk on the Lake Overstreet Trails. Adults must accompany the children on the walk. Please dress appropriately and bring insect repellant and binoculars if you own them. We will have some on hand at the park.
