Located on Tremain Street across from Gilbert Park on Lake Dora, Grantham Point Park is sometimes referred to as "Lighthouse Park". Grantham Point Park was created from road rubble and fill to create one of Mount Dora's famous landmarks - the lighthouse. Built to represent the "Port of Mount Dora", the lighthouse has become a symbol of the city. At "Mount Dora's Favorite Spot," families can engage in all kinds of outdoor fun from fishing, and wildlife viewing, to picnics by the water. Additionally, the City of Mount Dora Parks and Recreation offers several youth sport programs and camps throughout the year including Fishing and Boating Skills Camp in the summer.
