MarineQuest 2014 Open House Saturday, October 18 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. FREE admission. Kissimmee Planting Party Event

Come to Kissimmee to help protect Lake Toho and make a difference in our community! Join us for a planting party at the City of Kissimmee Civic Center Pond. Volunteers are needed to plant wetland plants along the pond edge for wildlife habitat and water quality protection. Learn about aquascaping, wetland plants and common birds that will visit the pond in the future. Get hands on experience! Both youth and adult volunteers are needed to plant. Businesses and groups are invited to participate.

Volunteer Day

We will be preparing the youth center for our fall field trip season. In the morning, volunteers will help with tasks to prepare for the thousands of children we have visit our center during the fall months. These tasks may include trail maintenance, trash pick-up on and around the pond, and staining of benches and archery tower. The afternoon will include fun events to thank the hard work done by our volunteers.

Conservation Adventures at Chinsegut Conservation Center

Session 2 of The Conservation Adventures at Chinsegut Conservation Center. The Conservation Adventures is a hands-on exploration of wildlife. Participants will gain skills in wildlife observation through sight, sound and wildlife tracking in the outdoors.
