Lake County Adopt-A-Road Cleanup

We’ll start at 8:00am with a light breakfast on the Trailhouse porch, and then head out in four teams to tackle 2 miles of Monte Vista Road in search of exotic trash. The winner will claim the coveted Scrub-Jay Trail T-shirt awarded to the most unusual find, as voted by a jury of your peers. The weather should be great, maybe even a little chilly in the early morning, so come on out and help to beautify this little piece of South Lake County.

Forest Funday

Nature program for children and families to help them enjoy the outdoors. Please join us anytime between 2:00 and 4:00pm to do a Sanctuary Search (a non-collecting scavenger hunt) and a craft. This is free and fun for all.

2013 Annual Kids Fishing Derby

Kids Fishing Derbies are designed to allow children to learn how to fish and have a successful day fishing. On May 4 from 8 AM until 11 AM, the Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge will be holding its Annual Kids Fishing Derby.
