Canaveral National Seashore

Canaveral National Seashore, part of the National Park Service, is located on the Atlantic coast of central Florida and is comprised of nearly 58,000 acres of natural barrier island, open lagoon, coastal hammock, pine flatwoods, and offshore waters. With 24 miles of pristine beach, it is prime habitat for many threatened and endangered species providing nesting beaches for several thousand protected marine turtles. The Park Rangers at Canaveral offer numerous environmental and conservation related programs to the public, and in summer of 2021, they began their new Jr.

Tuscawilla Park

Tuscawilla Park is a public access park in Ocala and shares property with the neighboring City of Ocala facilities the Reilly Arts Center and the Discovery Center. Anglers can partake in shoreline and/or pier fishing in any of the three bodies of water located within the park, which inhabit many Florida native freshwater fish species. Paved walking trails to the fishing pier provide wheelchair and motorized chair access to the water as well.

Heritage Nature Conservancy

Heritage Nature Conservancy is the home of the City of Ocala's bat and owl program, where rangers frequently educate the public about our resident Barred Owls and Mexican free-tailed bat population. Heritage Nature Conservancy, locally referred to as HNC, contains one of the few bat houses located within the city limits of Ocala, and hosts an estimated population of over 10,000 Mexican free-tailed bats. Additional wildlife education programs offered at HNC include frog, lizard, and animal tracking.

Carver Park

Carver Park is located in Lake County, under the management of the City of Eustis Parks and Recreation Department. With sport fields, a playground, picnic facilities, and a lake on property, Carver Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities for the community at a low cost. We have the distinct pleasure of serving a very diverse population in Eustis, and given the park's location in our low-income area, it is ideal for our aftercare programs as well as summer camp and various sport programs.

Girl Scouts of Citrus - Mah-Kah-Wee Program Center

Following the Girl Scout tradition, the Girl Scouts of Citrus build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. We are the leading organization for girls in Central Florida, and their growth is our goal! Our Mah-Kah-Wee Program Center is a 250-acre site in Chuluota, that was purchased in 1970. It's name, Mah-Kah-Wee meaning "Earth Maiden," was the result of a troop contest and was dedicated in 1971. At this beautiful outdoor oasis, Girl Scouts and families alike can engage in archery, swimming, paddle sports, camping, hiking and much more!

The City of Fruitland Park strives to provide our community with the best possible programs, services, and special events. The Parks and Recreation Department currently offers a wide range of youth sports, as well as adult men's and co-ed softball. Community events are held throughout the year including Movie on the Lawn, Fruitland Park Day, and Hometown Christmas to name a few.

St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum

The St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum's mission is to discover, preserve, present, and keep alive the stories of our nation's oldest port as symbolized by our working St. Augustine Lighthouse. Since maritime traditions existed historically in St. Augustine and at the Lighthouse, we include marine based activities such as fishing and kayaking in our programming, which are great experiential learning methods that give links to the past.

Sheriff's Youth Ranches - Youth Camp

As the founding camp property of the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches, Inc., Youth Camp was purchased in Barberville in 1982, and has lead the Sheriff's Youth Ranch mission to prevent delinquency and develop lawful, resilient, and productive citizens. Youth Camp boasts 200 acres and includes many water bodies on site, making it ideal for favorite outdoor activities like canoeing, fishing and hiking! The camp is available for rentals through most of the year but is occupied in the summer by youth from all over the state!

Rainbow Lakes Estates

The Rainbow Lakes Estates was established in 1959, originally comprised of 16 square miles and includes three sparkling lakes (Lake Bonable, Little Lake Bonable, and Tiger Lake.) These lakes constitute approximately 330 acres of water for our members' fishing and watersport pleasure, with access to a fishing pier and boat ramp as well. While Rainbow Lakes provides quality recreational opportunities and facility use to its residents and property owners, non-residents may also purchase memberships and enjoy use of amenities such as the Youth Center.

Meadow Woods Park

As part of Orange County's Parks and Recreation division, Meadow Woods Park and Recreation Center is dedicated to preserving the environment and providing exceptional recreation for the well-being of our communities. Meadow Woods offers numerous programs for all ages, from toddlers to adults. In addition to after school programs, camps, and youth and adult athletics, Meadow Woods has started an archery program as well!
