Florida Youth Waterfowl Hunting Weekend

United Waterfowlers - Florida (UW-F) helps fund several events around the State of Florida. These organized events make it easier for youth hunters and their parents to participate and get started in waterfowling and have a fun day learning about our waterfowl hunting heritage and learning about conservation of wetlands. VOLUNTEER DAY AT JOE BUDD

Come out and be part of Joe Budd Volunteer Day!!! We will be preparing the youth center for our spring field trip season. In the morning, volunteers will help with tasks to prepare for the thousands of children we have visit our center during the spring months. These tasks may include trail maintenance, raking pine straw, trash pick-up on and around pond, staining of pavilion, and putting out decoys. The afternoon will include fun events to thank the hard work of our volunteers. We will provide some of the necessary equipment and water.

Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park

Alfred B. and Louise Maclay first planted these beautiful ornamental gardens in 1923, after they purchased the property for their winter home. The gardens are a masterpiece of floral architecture, featuring a picturesque brick walkway, a secret garden, a reflection pool, a walled garden and hundreds of camellias and azaleas. Lake Hall provides opportunities for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and boating without motors.

One of the main goals for the Kids' Fishing Clinics is to create responsible marine resource stewards by teaching children the vulnerability of Florida's marine ecosystems. In addition, we hope to teach fundamental saltwater fishing skills and to provide kids with a positive fishing experience.

St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge

This unique refuge was established in 1931 to provide wintering habitat for migratory birds. It is one of the oldest refuges in the National Wildlife Refuge System.
