Join Green Wing Ducks Unlimited on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Ayavalla Airfield off Gardner Road in Tallahassee. $20 entry fee includes shooting, archery, wildlife demonstrations, hunter safety, ATV rides and safety, wood duck nesting box construction, law enforcement demos and exhibits, hunting dog demonstrations, hayrides, raffles, prizes, and a grilled lunch. It also includes an annual Greenwing membership and a gift. One lucky Greenwing will win the Grand Prize, a Lifetime Hunting and Fishing License.

Seek & Destroy Coral Ardisia

For camaraderie, fun, healthy exercise, and the satisfaction of doing something good for the environment, consider participating in this event, which is part of a series of sessions for everyone--all ages--interested in the outdoors. Learn the importance of addressing the problem of invasive plants, with a particular focus on Coral Ardisia (CA), which is currently smothering much of the understory of this beautiful park and many other areas in Florida & N. Georgia.
During a short hike, participants will learn from experts about, and how to identify, invasive plants--particularly Coral Ardisia--and then help remove many pounds of them. Lunch provided too! Bring water, bug spray, gloves, and wear shoes appropriate for hiking. Tools provided.

Aquatic Adventure Summer Camp 2016

For Girls & Boys 9-12. Join Bill Frederick Park Aquatic Adventure Camp to have fun, experience nature and explore ecology and conservation. Registration begins on March 1, 2016, and new price is $120 per week or $300 for all three weeks, per child. Children must dress for the outdoors- jeans, sneakers (no sandals or open-toed shoes), hat and t-shirt. They should bring an extra pair of shoes, sun screen, insect spray and snacks.
