St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge

This unique refuge was established in 1931 to provide wintering habitat for migratory birds. It is one of the oldest refuges in the National Wildlife Refuge System. It encompasses 68,000 acres spread out between Wakulla, Jefferson, and Taylor counties along the Gulf Coast of northwest Florida. The refuge includes coastal marshes, islands, tidal creeks and estuaries of seven north Florida rivers and is home to a diverse community of plant and animal life. The refuge also has strong ties to a rich cultural past, and is home to the St.

Pepper Ranch

Pepper Ranch Preserve is maintained by Conservation Collier. Pepper Ranch Preserve was purchased by Collier County Government in 2009 and the total size of the preserve is 2,512 acres. The preserve is open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from November- June from 9:00 A.M.- 4:00 P.M. The preserve will be closed on hunting weekends for safety reasons, so please call before to assure it is not a hunt weekend.

In the early years, SportsAbility Alliance primarily provided outdoor adventures for people of all abilities. Now, SportsAbility Alliance is providing and advocating for outdoor, indoor, virtual and even virtual reality activities. Our headquarters is in Tallahassee but, we work with our many partners to provide programming all over Florida. People of all abilities that participate in our events come from far and wide to experience activities such as boating, SCUBA, sky diving, art, rugby, archery, fishing, shooting sports, paddling and more!

Watermelon Pond Plantation

While offering some of the best quail habitat and upland bird hunting in North Central Florida, they are not a commercial quail hunting preserve with multiple parties hunting the same properties. In fact, it is a small family run operation. Therefore, guests will have unlimited access to their own private area and one on one attention from the experienced guides. Also provided is pheasant hunting for a change of pace. Add a little good old southern hospitality & some home cooking’ and the trip is sure to be memorable, enjoyable & productive.

Joe Budd Youth Conservation Center

Joe Budd Youth Conservation Center (JBYCC) is 12,000 pristine North Florida acres located just outside Tallahassee. We host summer day camps June through August and school year programs for families and classrooms August through May. Our school year programs include fields trips, night hikes, public events, and retreats, including classroom and outdoor hands-on learning for kids of all ages.
