Tate's Hell State Forest

The Florida Forest Service and specifically the Tate's Hell state forest is located in Franklin County where 80% of the land is public and a large part of the local culture. The staff currently provides outreach to the community through our public use areas which help to instill a conservation ethic and build advocacy with the next generation of Franklin County residents.

Osceola National Forest

The US Forest Service provides the general public with information on land management practices. Osceola National Forest offers many opportunities for a wide range of visitor experiences, such as camping, hiking, swimming, fishing, hunting, riding horse trails, wildlife viewing and many more. Currently the Osceola National Forest offers several youth opportunities, including the Junior Rangers Program, Youth Conservation Core, and others as they become available.

Pine Log State Forest

Calhoun County 4-H

The Calhoun County 4-H Extension Service provides research-based educational programs in the program areas of agriculture, horticulture, family consumer sciences and 4-H youth development. 4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults. Through 4-H, youth are leading a Revolution of Responsibility - a movement for positive change in every community in Calhoun County, Florida.

Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge vision is to serve as an outstanding showcase for ecosystem management that restores, protects and enhances a portion of the unique northern Everglades biological community. This public asset provides for the enjoyment and enhanced quality of life for present and future generations.

Duette Preserve

Duette Preserve is composed of over 21,000 acres of land located in eastern Manatee County. This unique property is owned and managed by the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners. As the headwaters of the Manatee River, the Preserve was originally purchased to provide protection for Manatee County's municipal water supply. Duette Preserve also protects and enhances the native plant communities and the diverse species which inhabit these areas.

Key Biscayne Community Center

The Key Biscayne Community Center has been a vital part of the community since it opened for use on October 30, 2004. The Community Center provides a central location for all residents, young and old, to participate in a wide variety of both active and passive activities in a two-story facility located adjacent to the Village Green. The Community Center includes a multipurpose gym, 25-meter pool, dance and aerobics studio, wellness/fitness center, computer lab, arts & crafts room, meeting rooms and underground parking.
