The Dream Center of Tampa is a youth success and community development center located in Ybor City. Our vision is to transform lives in our community through caring relationships. We host after school programs for students grades K-12 Monday through Thursday and a monthly Adopt A Block outreach in the surrounding area which includes, serving seniors, street clean-up and beautification projects.
A.D. Barnes Park is a 65-acre park nestled in the heart of one of Miami's busiest areas. The park is home to The Sense of Wonder Nature Center set within one of the few remaining Pine Rocklands in Miami-Dade County. As a result, the 8.5-acre Nature Center has become an oasis for migrating birds and, according to the National Audubon Society, is one of the best places to see birds in Miami. This park is listed as a site on the Great Florida Birding Trail.
At Sandra DeLucca Developmental Center we provide persons with intellectual and physical challenges equal access to community-based recreational, leisure, and cultural activities and to enhance their quality of life and inspire confidence, build self-esteem and foster independence.
Greynolds Park was officially dedicated in 1936 and saw great popularity almost immediately. As time went on, the park received multitudes of additions including a new Boathouse (1939), several unique picnic shelters (1939), and a 40-acre 9-hole golf course (1964). In 1983, Greynolds Park was declared a historic site. The park has several walking trails, a playground, picnic shelters and a campground. Greynolds Park and Miami EcoAdventures partner together to offer various nature based programs for the public, school/youth groups and scouts.
Herb N Chick's has a mission of creating healthy lifestyles and opportunities through education, recreation, and exercise. It provides programs to learn the basics of healthy living, and creates opportunities to give and share with our community, while providing a place to learn and enjoy hands-on experiences with agriculture, fishing, and archery.
We provide sports programs and events focused on providing youth with education on proper physical fitness, healthy eating, and keeping the environment clean. Our sports include soccer, basketball, flag football, fishing and occasionally tumbling/gymnastics or martial arts. The Town of Hilliard has an annual "clean-up day" I which we encourage youth and their families to join us in walking through our neighborhoods to clean up debris.
The Naples Preserve is a 9 ½ acre site within the City of Naples. To save it from development, it was purchased by the citizens of the City of Naples (2000) along with Florida Community Trust Forever Florida funds (2002). A 0.4 mile-long accessible boardwalk winds through oak-rosemary scrub and pine flatwoods. Our gopher tortoises and birds (especially migrating and winter residents) are favorites of our guests. The Nassau County 4-H Youth Development program create supportive environments for diverse youth to reach their fullest potential. Through hands-on activities, Nassau County 4-H provides youth the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop life skills that will lead them to be responsible citizens. 4-H focuses on many program areas including environmental science, agricultural, leadership, S.T.E.M., and community service.
