Hollywood North Beach Park

Popular Hollywood North Beach Park, a 56-acre park acquired by Broward County in 1988 and located at A1A and Sheridan Street, provides access to 1.1 miles of the City of Hollywood's public beach and beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Amenities include parking lots (fees apply) with beach access, picnic areas, two shelters for rent, fishing piers along the Intracoastal, Loggerhead Pocket Park, and four other pocket parks along the Intracoastal Waterway.

Anne Kolb Nature Center

When the Anne Kolb Nature Center opened on February 10, 1996, it was the culmination of a lengthy process that involved many years of planning and development. Today, the nature center complex is a 1,500-acre coastal mangrove wetland that's home to a wide variety of plants and animals, including some threatened and endangered species. Fossil-fuel boats are not permitted in the open waters and on the paddling trails of West Lake. Trail maps are available at the visitor center. The nature center is part of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail.

Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park

Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State park is located in Islamorada Florida. Our mission is to provide resource-based recreation while preserving, interpreting and restoring natural and cultural resources. Windley Key is open to the public Thursday- Monday and features nature trails and an educational center. Guided tours are offered from December to April on Friday, Saturday and Sundays at 10 am and 2 pm. Volunteer opportunities and other educational programs are offered throughout the year.

West Lake Park is situated in southeastern Broward County, occupying a three-mile strip of mangrove estuary and uplands immediately west of the Intracoastal Waterway within the cities of Hollywood and Dania Beach. West Lake has 47,800 feet of waterfront with an additional 20,600 feet of mangrove-fringed shoreline along the interior waterways. The ecological importance of the relationships between mangroves, our coastal waters, and the adjacent uplands cannot be overemphasized.

Crane Point / Florida Keys Land and Sea Trust, Inc. The Trust is a 501(c)3 Non Profit whose Mission is to Promote Environmental Stewardship and the Heritage of the Florida Keys. Crane Point is a 64 Acre ecological and cultural Treasure in the heart of the Florida Keys with many nature trails that leads You to the Gulf of Mexico. The trails offer a view of the Keys in the Days of the Indian and Bahamian Settlers and preserves one of the last thatch palm hammocks containing rare and endangered species.

Oscar Scherer State Park is a 1400 acre park featuring Florida's rare, scrubby flatwoods and the endangered Florida Scrub Jay. We offer year-round youth programming for both individuals and groups. We lead hikes and Junior Ranger programs, tram tours and field trips. Come hike our trails or hop in a canoe or kayak and explore the brackish waters of South Creek. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park

We provide resource-based recreation while preserving, interpreting and restoring natural and cultural resources. The Park has 8 fishing platforms, 19 picnic pavilions and is home to Miami-Dade's oldest historic structure, the Cape Florida Lighthouse.

There are many different options for volunteering at the Park as a group or an individual. One of our most attended is the monthly beach cleanups on the 2nd Saturday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Oleta River State Park

Oleta River State Park, Florida's largest urban park, is located on Biscayne Bay in the busy Miami metropolitan area. Although it offers a variety of recreational opportunities, the park is best known for miles of off-road bicycling trails, ranging from novice trails to challenging trails for experienced bicyclists. Along the Oleta River, at the north end of the park, a large stand of beautiful mangrove forest preserves native South Florida plants and wildlife. Canoeists and kayakers can paddle the river to explore this amazing natural area.
