The US Forest Service provides the general public with information on land management practices. Osceola National Forest offers many opportunities for a wide range of visitor experiences, such as camping, hiking, swimming, fishing, hunting, riding horse trails, wildlife viewing and many more. Currently the Osceola National Forest offers several youth opportunities, including the Junior Rangers Program, Youth Conservation Core, and others as they become available.
Science Eye offers unique, science and environmental educational programs for teachers, home schoolers, camps, organization, clubs, scouts, weekend events and birthdays. Our field and at-your-site program safaris are engaging, hands-on, inquiry-based programs that enable children and adults to explore the world around them, gain new insights and make them aware that science is an exciting part of everything they do. Our goal is to have fun while instilling self-confidence, develop critical thinking skills and to create a positive relationship with the environment.
The Chattahoochee Boys and Girls Club is designed to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need guidance the most to reach their fullest potential. We are developing productive, caring and responsible young men and women. We teach a variety of programs to include SMART, Stride Academy and Music Club. We are striving to incorporate additional outdoor activities to our already established "free play", where kids can just be kids and have fun.
"It Starts in Parks!" The Parks and Recreation Department shall continue to improve the quality of life through parks and recreation services and create a connection between the community, its partners and the City of North Miami. Enchanted Forest Park is a 22 acre urban nature park that features, a walking trail, butterfly garden, community garden, nature center, community center, horse stables, playground, covered shelters and open spaces.
The Tarpon Springs Recreation Department is committed to providing its citizens with a wide variety of recreational opportunities supported by our parks, personnel and facilities. Our goal is to deliver superior programs and services which meet the needs of the community in a cost-effective manner.
Our main focus is to provide activities and programs for youth and adults to lead a healthy, active and safe lifestyle.
Tropical Park, developed on the site of a former horse track in 1979, attracts approximately 1,000,000 visitors annually. Visitors can enjoy bicycling, walking or running on the miles of paved pathways. Visitors can shape up on our fitness court or at our boxing center.
