Seminole County 4H

The goal of the 4H extension programs is to provide research-based knowledge and education programs enabling people to make practical decisions to improve their quality of life. Seminole County 4H plans to develop the Project Learning Tree program for K-8th grade students and continue to utilize the Project WILD curricula. Through partnering with Seminole County's Greenways and Natural Lands as well as its public schools, students will be able to regularly engage in wildlife discovery activities.

St. John's County 4H

4-H enables youth to have fun, meet new people, learn new life-skills, build self-confidence, learn responsibility, and set and achieve goals! Our members can range from age 5 to 18, and these youth learn by doing and receive an award for a project completed. The following are types of projects our members participate in: archery, small bore, outdoor skills, forestry, marine ecology. We also offer a diverse selection of day camps, so come join the fun!

The Coldwater Nationals

The Coldwater Nationals is a fox dog field trial designed to introduce more young people to hunting and conservation by providing safe, educational, mentored youth hunts. The youth accompanied by a parent or guardian can learn outdoor skills from a mentor during organized hunts. We hold our annual fox dog field trial event at the Coldwater Creek Recreation Area. What is a Fox Dog Field Trial? It is a 3-day hunt for 5 hours each day, where dogs are cast into the field to pursue game animals and their skills are assessed by judges.

Gobblers Lodge

Gobblers Lodge is a 3D archery range where people of all ages can come to learn the sport, and even hone their bow hunting skills. The 2.5 acre 3D course is located on a 10-acre parcel and is wheelchair accessible/ADA compliant. Gobblers Lodge focuses on providing the community with free events as well as certified archery instruction to youth of local schools, churches, and at risk groups.

Hamlin House

Indian Trail Improvement District Parks Department

Acquired by the Indian Trail Improvement District in 2006, the Hamlin House is an indoor facility used for public rentals and recreation programming. With a maximum capacity of 78 people, the Hamlin House features an open concept indoor space with two restrooms and can be used for a variety of rental purposes including but not limited to: meetings, weddings, baby and bridal showers, as well as dance and educational classes.

Florida Sheriff Youth Ranches

The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches began in 1957 with our Ranch in Live Oak, FL. Our Camping Services department begin in 1983 in Barberville, FL at our Youth Camp. As of 2020 there are 4 residential ranches, 3 overnight camps, and one day camp. During our summer program we offer 7 mobile camps through out the state every week.We work with youth in need of services who would not have the opportunity to go to summer camp. Our camping motto is "Law enforcement officers are your friends". Alongside our camp counselors, deputies volunteer a week at a time to come spend time with our campers.

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary

The Sanctuary features a fully functioning wildlife hospital, an interactive discovery center, and nature trails that are home to rescued native Florida animal ambassadors. We offer field trips, outreach, and virtual programs for school children, adults, homeschool groups, etc. as well as a variety of daily public programs. We also offer a Junior Naturalist program for nature nerds ages 5-12.

Caruth Camp

At Caruth Camp, campers experience many different therapeutic activities including paddle sports, high ropes, archery, swimming, and many other recreational activities, which allows them the opportunity to build basic teamwork and peer communication skills. Additionally, they can spend the week enjoying the beautiful, tranquil outdoor environment.
