Tropical Park

Tropical Park, developed on the site of a former horse track in 1979, attracts approximately 1,000,000 visitors annually. Visitors can enjoy bicycling, walking or running on the miles of paved pathways. Visitors can shape up on our fitness court or at our boxing center.

Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves

Bordering the populous Miami - Dade County on the Atlantic Coast, the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves manage approximately 69,000 acres of natural resources. The public can explore this unique estuary with marine biologists through hands-on experiences i.e. wading, boat tours, kayak tours, and Bayologist Camp. Home to the occasional bottlenose dolphin, manatee, sea turtle, seahorse, and osprey.

The Calhoun County 4-H Extension Service provides research-based educational programs in the program areas of agriculture, horticulture, family consumer sciences and 4-H youth development. 4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults. Through 4-H, youth are leading a Revolution of Responsibility - a movement for positive change in every community in Calhoun County, Florida.

Liberty County 4-H

The purpose of Liberty County 4-H is to develop leadership, character, and good citizenship in America's youth. By emphasizing the development of the Head, Heart, Hands, and Health, 4-H leads youth to produce their best. Adult and youth volunteers lead local school and community 4-H clubs, advising and encouraging club members as they plan and carry out projects. 4-H is open to all youth ages 5 to 18 regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin or handicap and involves urban as well as rural youth.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture State Park

Situated on the banks of the legendary Suwannee River, this center honors the memory of American composer Stephen Foster, who wrote "Old Folks at Home," the song that made the river famous. The museum features exhibits about Foster's most famous songs and his music can be heard emanating from the park's 97-bell carillon throughout the day. In Craft Square, visitors can watch demonstrations of quilting, blacksmithing, stained glass making, and other crafts, or visit the gift shop. Hiking, bicycling, canoeing, and wildlife viewing are popular activities.
