Archbold Biological Station

Archbold Biological Station is a research, conservation, and education non-profit based in the headwaters of the Everglades. Our education programs focus on exploring nature, learning about science careers, and fostering a sense of place. Some educational outreach includes: Florida scrub field trips, summer camps, ranch eco-tours, classroom visits, public events, science fair judging, and tabling festivals. Archbold is also a longtime member of the League of Environmental Educators of Florida.

Oleta River State Park

Oleta River State Park, Florida's largest urban park, is located on Biscayne Bay in the busy Miami metropolitan area. Although it offers a variety of recreational opportunities, the park is best known for miles of off-road bicycling trails, ranging from novice trails to challenging trails for experienced bicyclists. Along the Oleta River, at the north end of the park, a large stand of beautiful mangrove forest preserves native South Florida plants and wildlife. Canoeists and kayakers can paddle the river to explore this amazing natural area.

Greynolds Park - Boathouse

Greynolds Park was officially dedicated in 1936 and saw great popularity almost immediately. As time went on, the park received multitudes of additions including a new Boathouse (1939), several unique picnic shelters (1939), and a 40-acre 9-hole golf course (1964). In 1983, Greynolds Park was declared a historic site. The park has several walking trails, a playground, picnic shelters and a campground. Greynolds Park and Miami EcoAdventures partner together to offer various nature based programs for the public, school/youth groups and scouts.

The Y is, and always will be, dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected and secure children and families in our communities. We provide Summer Day Camps at multiple locations throughout Clay County. Campers will discover new adventures, interests, skills, build self-confidence, make new friends and feel a sense of achievement. Above all, we focus on making summer fun!

At Camp Chowenwaw, we focus on arts, sports, fitness/wellness, character development, swimming, fishing, hiking, and outdoor exploration for ages 5-12 years old. Financial assistance is available!

Withlacoochee River Park

Withlacoochee River Park is a wilderness park within the Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Department. The departments mission is to improve the quality of life for Pasco County citizens by providing excellent parks and recreation facilities and program opportunities for everyone to enjoy. The park is situated on over 450 acres of natural Florida wilderness. Visitors can experience the pleasures of bird watching, hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing/kayaking and relaxing with nature. The park is open seven days a week from 7:00 am until dusk; there is a $2 parking fee.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park has a 1640 acre preserve and 3.2 miles of pristine beach front with over 40 imperiled plant and animal species. The park offers a wide variety of educational interpretive programming scheduled throughout the year. Topsail offers guided trail hikes, fishing clinics, natural and cultural resource outreach and education opportunities, arts and crafts, literacy programs, astronomy, geocaching and more.

Basecamp Apalach

Basecamp Apalach is a one stop guide service for educational tours in Franklin and Gulf counties. Our mission is to lead accessible explorations to singular destinations while providing inspiring experiences and instilling environmental sustainability ethics. Our tours emphasize best management practices for wildlife viewing, environmental education, as well as providing knowledge about the natural and cultural history of the Forgotten Coast. We offer walking tours, geocaching challenges, birding tours and kayak trips to local tributaries off the Apalachicola River Basin.

Land O'Sunshine Camp Cedarbrook


The mission of Land O'Sunshine Camp Cedarbrook is to provide children and adults a safe camping experience that helps them build healthy relationships with Jesus, each other, and themselves in order to promote growth and maturity. These goals are incorporated into programs such as small group activities, training and safety, respect for our environment, setting goals through an outdoor environment, having fun, and modeling by mentors.
