Riverbend Park

Riverbend provides a variety of hiking, biking, wading, canoeing and wildlife watching programs for private, public and school groups offering a closer look at the environmental and historical aspects of Riverbend. School programs are tailored to meet grade curriculum objectives. Fun special events for the public are offered throughout the year and summer camp programs are available in the summer. Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge

The Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge vision is to serve as an outstanding showcase for ecosystem management that restores, protects and enhances a portion of the unique northern Everglades biological community. This public asset provides for the enjoyment and enhanced quality of life for present and future generations.

City of Winter Garden

To provide high quality recreation programs and facilities to all resident of and visitors to Winter Garden. Upcoming program development will include Interpretive Programs, Nature Center, Canoe/Kayak launch, Primitive Group Camping, Hiking Trails, Historical Exhibits and Picnic Pavilions.

Crandon Park Visitors and Nature Center

Crandon Park lies on picturesque northern Key Biscayne, Florida; formerly one of the largest coconut plantations in the United States as well as former location of that Crandon Park Zoo. The Crandon Visitors and Biscayne Nature Center serves as a window into Bear Cut Preserve, 264 acres of preserved barrier island habitat. Within the preserve various ecosystems can be observed including: dunes, maritime hammock, mangrove forest, and sea grass beds. The Visitors Center's exhibit & aquarium room displays recreated native marine ecosystems, and interpretive exhibits.

The YMCA wants all children, regardless of their finical situation, to have the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor environment where they can develop an appreciation of nature.

Emerson Point Preserve

Emerson Point Preserve is a 365 acre preserve located at the tip of Snead Island in western Palmetto. At Emerson Point, visitors can take in the beauty of Florida's wildlife and native plant communities while exploring both prehistoric and historic sites.

Jiggs Landing

Jigg's Landing offers freshwater fishing and canoeing opportunities on the Evers Reservoir and Braden River. The property was purchased in 1944 by Al (Jiggs) and Agnes Metcalf and included a 7-acre piece of property. They created a fish camp on the banks of the Braden River, that has become a landmark to residents. The camp has served Manatee County for more than 40 years.
