MarineQuest 2014 Open House Saturday, October 18 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. FREE admission. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) Fish and Wildlife Research Institute welcomes the public to the 20th annual MarineQuest open house. Visitors can experience up-close encounters with live fish and wildlife, including sharks, rays, crustaceans, alligators and a variety of Florida’s top inshore sport fish. Attendees can hone their bow-and-arrow skills at the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network’s outdoor archery station, or get creative with wildlife origami, face painting and gyotaku, the art of Japanese fish printing. Free event parking is available at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg parking garage at the corner of 5th Ave. S. and 3rd St. S.
