Our mission at Fort King National Historic Landmark is to develop an educational park that provides both historical and nature-based programming. The park will provide Florida history education about the Second Seminole War as well as camping and outdoor recreation-skills classes and programs. We have recently broadened our focus on programming for teens, especially outdoor programs for minority and lower income youth in the Ocala community.
