The park offers 768 acres of pine flatwoods, scrub oak, cypress swamps and oak hammocks with over 20 miles of hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails. Tent camping, picnic pavilions, lodge, barbeque grills, kayaking, park programs, river overlook and a fishing pier are also available. Located along the Caloosahatchee River, it is an area rich in natural history.
The trail and trail loops south of County Road 78 are for hikers only. The north side trails provide access for mountain biking, hiking and equestrian use. The Caloosa Saddle Club and the Florida Mudcutters mountain bike club are instrumental in the maintenance of the trail system.
